I suspect that the definition of Islington as being in the City is a
transcription error, and should be Middx.

The handwriting on the census return is difficult to read, but I am pretty
sure it says Crescent Street, which run south from Huntingdon Street. (The
return for Huntingdon Street immediately preceeds this in the census.) There
were 3 households at this address. John McDonald's family occupied 2 of
the rooms.

Note that he spelling of the name on the original census return is MacDonald,
whereas the more common spelling in other documents is McDonald. This is
almost a transcription error by the enumerator.
